Bionik-Pavillon_2011 © ICD Uni StuttgartAm Donnerstag, den 18.07.2013 (19:00 Uhr) hält Prof. Dr. Jan Knippers (Universität Stuttgart) im Haus der Stiftung, Brückenstr. 15, 79761 Waldshut einen Vortrag zum Thema “Methoden der Bionik am Beispiel der Architektur”. Dies ist ein Begleitvortrag zur Bionik-Ausstellung.

The book „Materials Design Inspired by Nature – Function through Inner Architecture“ edited by Peter Fratzl, John W C Dunlop and Richard Weinkamer  addresses the relationship between the inner architecture of natural materials and their physical properties for material design (RSC Publishing, ISBN: 9781849735537).

Self-Healing Polymers

The book „Self-Healing Polymers – From Principles to Applications“ edited by Wolfgang H. Binder combines the knowledge of an international paneel of experts in the field and provides the reader with chemical and physical concepts for self-healing polymers, including aspects of biomimetic processes of healing in nature (Wiley-VCH, ISBN: 978-3-527-33439-1) .
